BFM centraal (Boten, Fiets, Mensen which means Boats, Bicycles and People in Dutch) is conceived as a new transportation hub located in a strategic location in Amsterdam, next to the Amsterdam Train Station and over the canal.

The project incorporates the most used transportation means by Dutch's in one strategic location, allowing people to park their bikes or cars and go to work; take the bus to other part of the city; take a canal boat tour or canal boat public transportation; enjoy a cafe with a view over the canal; go shopping over the most beautiful canal boardwalk; or simply enjoy a nice uninterrupted walk through the canal sidewalk.

The main design strategy of this project is the elevation of the bicycle lanes so the traffic doesn't interfere with the people's activities, allowing program to happen in between the new lanes and the water, sidewalks and streets.
