2nd Year - Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Uruguay

Software used: Sketchup, AutoCAD

This project arises as a solution for the chaotic traffic situation registered in summer in the beach of Punta del Diablo, located in the department of Rocha, Uruguay. EDD serves as a receptor and exchanger of services for the beach. The purpose of the project is to contain and organize the access to the city.

The program consists in a semi-roofed temporary parking área for two buses and access to four vans; a covered waiting area, information post, offices, bathrooms, a shop and cafeteria in order to meet the immediate needs for travelers while in transit.

The project incorporates contemporary architectural language, without leaving aside local traditions, materials and full integration with the landscape. It incorporates the use of local rough materials such as corten steel, wood.
